Who is Harry Rubenstein?

Great question! I am a pastry chef, culinary guide, recipe writer, storyteller, outdoor market obsessive, and a self-proclaimed expert on Jewish baked goods — sweet and savory. I pursued formal pastry training at Bishulim - The Israeli Institute of Culinary Arts and since have independently studied Arab pastry. I’ve been shopping and eating at Israel’s markets for over 20 years. Since 2017 I’ve been taking visitors on epic eating tours throughout Israel.

I live in Modi’in, Israel with my wife Ziva and my three cool kids - Tzofia, Einav and Koby.

Do you have a dog?

Yes! His name is Action Jackson but he is also known as Jax, Joonie, Joon Joon and Joonifer Lopez.

What will I receive?

A newsletter once a week-ish featuring content such as the story of Yemenite Arak, the best Passover dessert recipe of all time and Honey Chocolate cake with tahini glaze.

So I should subscribe?

Definitely. My newsletter is 100% free but your patronage as a paid subscriber would greatly assist me in continuing and investing in this endeavor and would be deeply appreciated. Slay.
